Meet Teylor Parks: The Multi-Hyphenate Queen

Mental Health Advocate | Artist | Education Reformist | Marketing Strategist

Teylor Parks is an Atlanta-native and Florida A&M University graduate (Class of 2020) with a passion for building purpose-driven brands, using visual art and music to promote positivity, and finding unique ways to serve communities in need. For the culmination of her work, Teylor has won the Florida Capital’s Top 20 Under 40 Award, been featured in Essence Magazine’s online blog and email newsletter, is a Forbes Under 30 Scholar, and been selected for Opportunity Hub’s prestigious High-Growth Upskilling and Company Building South by Southwest Cohort Program, among other achievements. 


Health and Wellness Work

From a mental health standpoint, her brand Breathe in Color provides a multitude of products – from affirmation cards to gratitude journals and stickers -- to help spread wellness and positivity. In early 2023, Teylor opened the Breathe in Color studio in Tallahassee, Florida’s art district. The studio serves as a creative hub for Black artists, offering creative workshops, a Black marketplace, and even pole fitness courses

Artistic Ventures

Teylor is truly a multi-hyphenate artist with interests that span from vocal arts to painting, jewelry making, makeup, pole dancing, and writing. A graduate of metro-Atlanta’s prestigious Stilwell School of the Arts and a Florida A&M University music scholarship awardee, Teylor has nearly two decades of professional art/music training and has been performing professionally for over a decade. To date, Teylor has released two self-recorded and produced music projects, Changes and Destiny’s Demos, both of which explore themes of growth and transformation set to neo-soul tones. 

Education Reform Efforts

Teylor is an advocate for both education reform and mental health. Through her organizations Dreamers at FAMU and Achieve in Color, Teylor has led 80+ collegiate volunteers to tutor and host STEAM projects with 400+ K-12 students in Tallahassee, Florida. Additionally, she provides microgrants to teachers and community leaders supporting minority students to help close the achievement gap. 

Marketing and PR Expertise

Teylor defines herself as “ a savvy creative and communications professional, bringing a fresh Gen-Z perspective to the digital marketing landscape.” Teylor has 6+ years of digital marketing experience supporting brands like MAC Cosmetics, The J.M. Smucker portfolio, The Home Depot, Eli Lilly & Company, Bank of America, Mynd Matters Publishing, and numerous local businesses and nonprofits.
